BANKSY

Here's a youtube vid I found kinda interesting... It's on BANKSY's art show in NY named "Village Pet Store and Charcoal Grill." This guy's gotta be one of my favorite street artists due to his mad creativity and his techniques on using props to portray his views and messages to the public. If you haven't heard of this dude before, check his site at banksy.co.uk
It's not an option...

BHIVER

Many Mahaloz to brotha DANER from Seattle who gave me this BHIVER relic...

Caught this one night while eating out...

Here's a few flicks from the Quintero's a.k.a. BHIVER wall...

Here's a memorial piece I did back in '07. I wish I got to know this talented, young artist a lot better. Rest in paradise, fam... BHIVER FOREVER

Reck, Soker, Block...

Got a chance to uncover some buried treasure today! Kicked it with Uncle SOKER as we dug up some of his old work from over a decade ago (when he used to write RECK DTS)! We originally had planned a painting day, but the poor weather turned it into a sketching day. While learning some of his own techniques to letter structure, we managed to stumble across a box of his old doodles and artwork. I managed to escape with a few flicks of his old sketchbook as well as some of his more recent tattoo sketch drawings (in the post below). As soon as I saw these, I knew I needed to post them. How often do you get to see where a writer of BLOCK's caliber actually began?! Keep your eyes open for some O.G. tags and shouts (i.e. GETO, ATOR, DESO). Hope you enjoy these bits of history! By the way, make sure to check out SOKER's myspace to see how he's progressed over the years...

Sketching with BLOCK...

Here's a few pages out of BLOCK's new book, some MONTHS hands in his style, plus 2 sick ass tattoo sketches he's done! I even tried doing a quick OCTOBER in his steeze (last picture). Enjoy!

Who got the ANSER?

So I was surfin Safari and happened to stumble over a sick ass piece done by my good homie ANSER. I remember painting with this dude and braddah CENSR back in '06, when I first began the challenge of piecing. Back then, I went through millions of frustrations and can only remember how badly I wanted to hold it down like these dudes. They both were, and still are a great influence on me... Anyhow, when seeing this ANSER piece, it definitely sparked a drawing bug in me. I felt like I needed to try this style for some odd reason, so here it is... Just a quick and rough "October" pencil sketch. Hopefully one day I'll get to paint this! Or even better, I'll get to paint this with braddah ANSER himself! Holla at me if you read this holmes!

A 24 Kazoku October!

Just got home from a 24K prody... Not all the homies are done yet so I guess I'll keep the stories for a later post... Shits coming out tight! Halo tried a new 3D style that's looking ill as fuck! By the way, big ups to him as he embarks on an asian adventure...

Quick Sesh...

So these past few days I've been scrambling to squeeze in any paint sheshs I can... I was lucky enough to catch a quick one with my AF brother, Block a few days ago. Through the rush of tryna organize what was going on, I think we were able to successfully pull off a descent in-and-out job... While we were at the spot, a few bits of excitement helped us to enjoy our day... I'll just drop a little on the best part. So anyways, I was finishing up my B when all of a sudden a huge ass dog comes bolting straight at me! Block and I were quite shocked, but it ended up to be pretty friendly. The owner came chasing after her dog explaining how she always picks up empty cans and other rubbish left behind by "guys like us." We just finished and split. Wasn't too excited about the outcome of my piece, but I guess it was okay for scrap cans and the amount of time we had... BTW, sorry about the photo; It was taken with a phone...
